The pick of the bunch

With Anderlecht’s title hopes effectively over before Christmas with a 23-point gap to today’s visitors Genk, the 34-time Belgian champions look to move up to the top end of the gaggle of sides between 6th-12th that begin the weekend separated by just six points.

Defeating the runaway league leaders will be easier said than done for Anderlecht though, especially when considering that they’ve failed to win four of their last five home games and against arguably weaker opponents than Genk.

Genk could tighten their stranglehold on the Belgian Pro League even further with another victory ahead of the upcoming World Cup break, and having dropped just five of the 48 available points so far, it would be foolish to bet against Genk running out victorious yet again.

There is value in the visitors
