Atletico Go vs CSA Predictions

Tuesday’s Brazilian Serie B action sees Atletico GO playing host to CSA. A close match is expected to be in order, with very little action at either end of the pitch.

After quite a poor start to the season, Atletico GO are now in fine form and arrive with confidence high. Dragão came into the campaign harbouring hopes of securing an immediate return to the top flight following relegation last season, but inconsistent showings early on had that looking improbable.

Now 6 matches unbeaten, 4 of which wins, Atletico have shot right up the table and currently find themselves outside of the promotion spots by goal difference only. The hosts had previously been having numerous issues defensively but having kept 3 clean sheets in a row, defensive performance have improved markedly and that’s something the back-line will want to keep up in this fixture.

Meanwhile, CSA take to the field 7 matches unbeaten, although just 2 of said outings have came from victories. Nonetheless, currently standing 2nd with 29 points from 16 fixtures, the visitor’s start to the campaign has gone better than anyone could have expected, having risen up from the fourth tier in recent years.

Also unbeaten in 6 away matches, CSA will not be afraid of travelling to a strong Atletico side and with 4 of those trips ending in triumph, the visitors will be hopeful of picking up all three points. It certainly won’t be an easy trip for Azulão, but 3 clean sheets in a row suggest that they’ll prove hard to break down for the hosts.

Ultimately, with both teams running along nicely and in strong defensive shape, a tight, close game looks likely. The bet that really stands out for us as a result is backing the under 2.5 goal line at more than reasonable odds, and that’s where our money is going.

4 of Atletico’s last 6 matches have ended with under 2.5 goals, as have 6 of CSA’a last 7 and all things considered, little change to either sequence looks to be on the cards. Neither side has been playing particularly expansive football in recent weeks and aren’t expected to alter their respective approaches on Tuesday, with this already an important match even at this early stage of the season, as the promotion contenders for the year start to take shape.

A 0-0 draw is the most likely full time scoreline and is one well worth backing in addition to our main tip.
