Germany still finding feet under Nagelsmann

Germany head to neighbouring Austria on Tuesday as they look to record a first win over a European rival under new boss Julian Nagelsmann.

Negelsmann’s tenure began with a 3-1 win over the USA but have since played out a 2-2 draw with Mexico and lost 3-2 at home to Turkey.

Austria have booked their spot at Euro 2024 and are looking to record a second consecutive victory over the tournament’s host nation, having triumphed 2-1 when these sides last met in 2018.

Goals markets stand out

All three of Germany’s games under Nagelsmann have produced at least four goals and over 3.5 goals has been a winning bet in four of their last five overall, with the other game a 2-1 win over France.

Nagelsmann needs to find a way to get Germany firing before next summer’s tournament on home soil but they could face a stern test in Austria.
