While this match is Real’s first pre-season assignment, Bayern have already blown away the cobwebs, though they were unsuccessful. After losing to Arsenal, the German champions will be looking to improve. Real Madrid will be hoping to kick-start their pre-season campaign with a win, while they’ll also be hoping that their new signings can hit the ground running.

Playing against Arsenal in their opening pre-season friendly was never going to be straightforward, so it wasn’t the greatest surprise that Bayern came unstuck. They did lose the game, though Niko Kovac’s men will have taken a few positives; they looked good in possession and created some good chances in the final third.
