After a disastrous run of three straight defeats, it really was a must win affair for Brentford in midweek when they entertained second bottom Sheffield Wednesday at Griffin Park. The Bees obliged and emerged comfortable 3-0 victors at full time, though their grasp on second place is no stronger following wins for Swansea and Watford on the same night.
