Brighton and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Brighton have posted four wins from their last six in all competitions but they are yet to keep a clean sheet in this season’s Premier League, so back a home win and both teams to score when they play host to Burnley.

Brighton 3-1

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in all 15 of Brighton’s league fixtures this season and goals could be on the cards at the Amex Stadium, where a 3-1 home win is the way to play it when it comes to a correct score prediction.

Joao Pedro To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Joao Pedro has bagged ten goals in all competitions – five of which have come in the Premier League – and he is a good pick to get on the scoresheet against porous Burnley.

Brighton vs Burnley Predictions

  • Brighton have won four of their last six games in all competitions
  • Both teams have scored in all 15 of Brighton’s league fixtures this season
  • Burnley have conceded at least three goals in six Premier League matches this term
  • Joao Pedro has scored ten goals in all competitions

Goals continue to flow for Seagulls

Brighton kept alive their trend of scoring and conceding in every Premier League game this season with a 2-1 win over Brentford on Wednesday and their clash with Burnley on Saturday could also be high-scoring.

The Seagulls have established themselves in the top half once again this season but their excellence going forwards has been offset by their porous defence.

Roberto De Zerbi’s enterprising side are averaging 2.1 goals per game in the league but they are also conceding an average of 1.8 goals per game.

Their leaky rearguard and their involvement in the Europa League group stage has likely restricted their progress this season but a home game with Burnley represents a decent chance of three points.

The Seagulls have still won four of their last six games, seeing off Ajax, Nottingham Forest, AEK Athens and the Bees.

Inconsistency plagues relegation-threatened Burnley

As for Burnley, their 5-0 hammering of Sheffield United at the start of the month was a bit of an anomaly.

The emphatic win at Turf Moor brought an end to Paul Heckingbottom’s tenure as Sheffield United manager but it was Burnley’s only win in their last nine games – they lost the other eight.

The win over United was a demonstration of what made Burnley such a great team to watch under Vincent Kompany in the Championship last term but sustaining that level has been tricky.

Only Sheffield United are below them in the league standings and they have lost 12 of their first 15 games back in the top flight.

But while results have not gone their way, they have still been scoring goals and the 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Tuesday was the first time in four matches that they have failed to score.

Pedro could make his mark at the Amex

Given Brighton keep conceding, Burnley should at least fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet at the Amex Stadium, where a home win and both teams to score is the best bet.

As for a correct score pick, Brighton are worth backing to run out 3-1 winners.

Brazilian forward Joao Pedro was lively in Brighton’s win over Brentford, managing four shots, including two on target, and he has racked up five goals in the Premier League.

On penalty duty, he is always a worthwhile scorer pick and should be backed to breach Burnley.
