Brighton vs Norwich Predictions

  • Brighton have lost their last four home games without scoring.
  • Albion have managed just three wins in 15 attempts at home in the Premier League.
  • Norwich have scored in each of their last four games, including in defeats to Chelsea and Liverpool.
  • The reverse fixture finished 0-0.

Freefalling pair clash at the Amex

Something has to give on Saturday as out-of-form pair Brighton and Norwich meet at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League.

The Seagulls have lost their last six league assignments and have scored just one goal during that run. Norwich have also lost their last six league games and have lost their last seven across all competitions.

Neither side has any fresh injury or suspension concerns and Adam Lallana and Adam Webster are expected to miss out again for Brighton, while Adam Idah remains absent for the visitors.

Lack of goals harming Brighton

Brighton were touted as potential European challengers earlier in the season but their losing run means they are destined for a mid-table finish. Albion are probably out of danger in terms of being dragged into the relegation fight though, while the Canaries are in desperate need of points.

Norwich are eight points adrift of safety and their hopes of survival appear slim, but they may be able to get a result on Saturday and they are the team fighting in this clash, whereas Brighton have little left to play for.

Both teams are struggling but the Canaries are at least scoring, while Brighton have lost each of their last four at home and have failed to score in all of those losses. Norwich have scored in each of their last four games and have only failed to score in one of their last six trips.

Albion’s lack of goals has become a real issue and the fact that Norwich have been able to get on the scoresheet, including in defeats to Chelsea and Liverpool, suggests they can get a result on the south coast.

Norwich are huge underdogs here and I’m back the visitors in the double chance (win or draw) market as the main bet. The reverse fixture finished 0-0, Brighton have failed to win 11 of their last 12 home games in all competitions and they’ve only won three of their 15 home games in the Premier League.

Goals could be in short supply

With both teams struggling for results and Brighton looking incapable of scoring right now. I’m not expecting too many goals in this match-up and it could well be decided by just the one goal.

Norwich have scored in their last four games but haven’t scored more than once in any game since January. That run covers nine games and they have scored seven goals in total during that time, so a 1-0 win for the visitors has some appeal in this Premier League clash.

Brighton predicted lineup: Sanchez, Veltman, Duffy, Dunk, Cucurella, Gross, Bossouma, March, Mac Allister, Trossard, Maupay

Norwich predicted lineup: Krul, Williams, Gibson, Kabak, Aarons, McLean, Lees Melou, Gilmour, Rashica, Pukki, Sargent
