Hull City to Win

Reason for tip

Hull claimed a 2-1 victory at Middlesbrough in their last away match and followed that with a 3-0 success over Cardiff, so they should be confident about their visit to Bristol and should claim all three points.

Hull City 2-1

Reason for tip

Hull have scored at least twice in five of their last eight away matches and have won five times on the road in the Championship already this season, so they look geared to claim a 2-1 success.

Bristol City vs Hull City Predictions

  • Bristol City have won one of their last five matches
  • Both teams have scored in four of Bristol City’s last six matches
  • Hull have scored at least twice in five of their last eight away games

Tigers are in good shape

Hull will ensure they are in the top six at the half-way stage of the Championship season if they can claim a win at Bristol City on Friday and such a success should be within the Tigers’ capabilities.

It is turning out to be a decent season for the Yorkshire outfit and they head to Ashton Gate having banked an impressive 2-1 success at Middlesbrough in their away game, which they followed with a 3-0 win over Cardiff last week.

They are in the thick of the playoff picture and have formed a strong foundation for a push in the second half of the campaign, and they look well placed to claim their sixth away win of the season.

Robins need to keep pushing

Bristol City will hope they can still be a factor in the end-of-season shake-up as although they are 14th, the congested nature of the second tier means they are just seven points behind the Tigers.

However, the Robins have to make more progress under new manager Liam Manning, who saw his team claim their first win in five games when they saw off Sunderland on Saturday.

That victory came against another team with playoff ambitions, but the Black Cats have not won in six away games and have scored just three times in that run so a 1-0 win, via a penalty, can hardly be considered convincing.

This looks a lot tougher with a Hull win selected and a 2-1 away victory deemed worthy of consideration for those looking for a correct-score bet.
