Top two the target for Leeds

Leeds head to Bristol City on Friday night knowing a win would see them move into the Championship’s top two, temporarily at least.

The Robins are generally strong at home but they have managed just one win in their last four at Ashton Gate, losing once and drawing twice.

The hosts also have a quick turnaround here after they drew 2-2 at Coventry on Tuesday, while Leeds were last in action in the FA Cup at the weekend.

The odds on an away win here aren’t particularly appealing but a victory for Leeds, who have won their last four in the league, does look the most likely result.

Goals may be in short supply here as there have only been four goals scored in total across Bristol City’s last four home games, while Leeds have only scored two goals in total in their last two.

As such, a 1-0 win for the visitors is the correct score pick here and Patrick Bamford may be the man who fires Leeds to victory.

Bamford was restricted to a nine-minute cameo in the 1-1 cup draw with Plymouth but prior to that had scored four goals in five games and he can continue his hot-streak with a goal on Friday.
