Bristol City to Win

Reason for tip

Bristol City have won four of their last six home matches and should have too much for the Canaries, who have lost six of their last eight Championship outings.

Bristol City 2-1

Reason for tip

Norwich have scored in their last nine matches and eight of those have featured at least three goals, so take the Bristol City to come out on top by a 2-1 scoreline.

Bristol City vs Norwich Predictions

  • Norwich have conceded at least twice in six of their last seven matches
  • Both teams have scored in eight of Norwich’s last nine games
  • Bristol City have won four of their last six home outings.

Defeat could signal the end for Wagner

The clock appears to be ticking for Norwich manager David Wagner and a defeat at Bristol City could confirm the German’s fate on Sunday.

The Canaries have dropped like a stone after taking ten points from their opening four Championship matches and the latest disappointment came on Tuesday when they surrendered an early two-goal lead to Watford and were sunk by Yaser Asprilla’s winner.

That was their fifth defeat in eight games and the calls have gone out for a change of management. The fans may not have to wait long as the Robins have shown some decent form at Ashton Gate.

Robins’ home form is solid

They have had their own change of management recently themselves with Liam Manning replacing Nigel Pearson and they have won four of their last six games on their own patch.

In one of the others they were two goals ahead before falling to a defeat to Stoke and it is no disgrace to have lost to highflying Ipswich, so they look a good proposition to claim another set of three points.

Seven of Norwich’s last nine league games have featured at least three goals and they have scored in each of those matches, so a 2-1 home win is a realistic correct-score proposition.
