Bromley vs Barnet Predictions

Two mid-table sides meet on Tuesday in the National League, as Bromley host Barnet. The visitors – newly relegated from League Two – are hoping to get their form together and push for a return to the Football League. Will they be able to build on their strong recent run, or have their results of late simply been papering over the cracks? Despite some positives, Barnet should have concerns over their results, and Bromley have every chance of getting a result this weekend.

The hosts sit in 14th place in the National League so far, after finishing just three points shy of the play-offs last season. They have 10 points from eight games so far, and the hosts will be aiming to get points on the board here. They’ve been hugely reliant on their home form for points in the early stages of the 2018/19 campaign, but can they add to their solid return in front of their own fans by beating Barnet?

The visitors are coming in here in 13th, narrowly above the hosts. They’ve managed to pick up their away form too, and their recent turnaround in form has seen them take three straight victories, including back to back wins on the road. That may add up to a side worth backing for many, but form is only half of the story. Those three wins are Barnet’s only victories so far this term, and their landing in the National League after falling from League Two has been bumpy to say the least.

Barnet’s three straight wins followed up a three game losing streak at this level. The hosts seemed to carry on the form which took them down last season, and that’s got to be worrying, as they face a fight for one of the two promotion spots back to the EFL. The visitors have also seen their form turn around just as their fixture list eased up, and their recent victories haven’t exactly impressed us.

The visitors beat Chesterfield 1-0, a side who are currently on a five game losing streak including that defeat. After that, they claimed wins over two of the bottom three – Dagenham & Redbridge and Dover. Meanwhile, Bromley have won back to back home games, keeping clean sheets in the process. Their unbeaten run at home stretches back to January, so this isn’t going to be another straightforward game for the visitors. We see Barnet’s form coming to an end in this tough test, and we suggest that the value lies with the hosts, who we’re backing on the Draw No Bet market.
