Brommapojkarna vs Sirius Predictions

This is a really significant game at the bottom end of the Swedish Allsvenskan. We are heading towards the mid point in the season now and it’s clear that both of these sides are in a relegation battle. Sirius’ plight is particularly desperate and it seems vital that they can get something from this game.

They were a real surprise package last term but they appear to be suffering from a severe case of second season syndrome. Promoted from the Superettan in 2016, they will be heading back there unless they can find a bit of form as they try to build on a hopeless tally of 5 points from 13 matches so far.

They are in danger of being really cut adrift and will be at least 8 points from safety if they lose this game. Brommapojkarna currently occupy the relegation play-off position and will see this as a good opportunity to collect three points. It’s no surprise to see them struggling, given they are playing at this level following back-to-back promotions and it’s only two years ago they were drawing average crowds of around 500 in the 1st Division North.

They have though been pretty good at home and all of their points this term have come in front of their own fans. They will need to start picking up a few results on the road if they are to stand a chance of survival you’d imagine but with a 50% home win ratio and an average of 1.67 points per home game, they have some solid foundations from which to build.

Certainly in a home game against the league’s bottom club you have to fancy them to chalk up another win. There’s very little reason for positivity as far as Sirius are concerned. Any hope that they could regroup over the summer break already looks to have gone with 3-1 and 4-0 home defeats in their two matches since returning from it.

They’ve lost 83% of their away games in the league this term and have conceded a huge 17 goals in their last 4 Allsvenskan matches alone. Coach Kim Bergstrand has largely been the inspiration in them getting this far and reaching the top flight but this is surely the toughest period he has faced during 6 years in the job and he doesn’t appear to have the answers.

All things considered, backing a Brommapojkarna Win looks like the best approach to take here.
