Bury vs Fleetwood Town Predictions

Considering that they bounced back to win after losing their unbeaten run against Bolton recently, Fleetwood will be disappointed to have only drawn at home to Wimbledon last time out. If the visitors are going to seriously challenge the automatic spots then they really do need to keep winning matches. However, Bury have been no slouches in recent weeks and, having taken a point against Millwall last weekend, are likely to provide stiff opposition here.

One thing that’s been almost guaranteed with Bury this season is goals. The hosts, win or lose, generally get themselves on the score-sheet and, even against the useful defence of Fleetwood, they’re fancied to do the same here. The bet that catches the eye is ‘Both Teams to Score’.

Fleetwood might not be the ideal ‘BTTS’ candidates, but they’re certainly no strangers to scoring on the road. In fact, Uwe Rosler’s men have scored in 100% of their away matches this season. However, Bury are one of the divisions’ highest scorers on their own patch – only four teams in League One have scored more goals – and cannot be ruled out from a scoring point of view.

Having scored 34 goals at home this season, Lee Clark’s men have scored in all but three of their 19 home matches, finding the net in nine of their last ten. The Shakers’ last home match (3-0 win over Bristol Rovers) showcased their ability to score goals against decent teams and it really would be no surprise if they got themselves on the score-sheet here.

Many will be expecting Fleetwood to get the job done here and they really ought to be scoring against a team who have a clean sheet in just 21% of their home matches, but they’ve looked a bit less secure since receiving that hammer-blow from Bolton a few weeks ago. ‘Both Teams to Score’ is the bet to go for.
