Bury vs Forest Green Rovers predictions as they meet in League Two on Saturday. Will the hosts be able to bounce back from relegation with a strong start to the season? Read on for our preview of the match and all our free betting tips below.

Reason For Bury vs Forest Green Rovers Betting Tips

Few sides are able to bounce back from relegation to win promotion back to the same league at the first attempt, but that is exactly the task which faces Bury this season. The Shakers know that if they are to achieve this feat then they will need to have a strong start to the season, and with an in form Forest Green Rovers visiting Gigg Lane this Saturday, they are sure to have all they can handle.

The hosts would probably score their start to the campaign as being no higher than par. They started the season in positive fashion with a solid 1-0 win at home to Yeovil Town, but they have not been able to build on that result as they lost 1-0 to MK Dons in their next league match and they were eliminated on penalties to Nottingham Forest in the League Cup first round following a 1-1 draw.

Visiting Gigg Lane is a Forest Green Rovers side who will be pleased with how things have gone in the early stages of this season. Rovers recorded a thumping win on the road when they proved to be too strong for Grimsby Town, eventually running our 4-1 winners. The goal rush has stopped there however, as a 1-0 win over Swindon Town in the League Cup followed a 1-1 draw with Oldham in the league.

With both of these two sides playing in tough midweek encounters, we have to factor in fatigue in our thinking. The way the hosts have started indicates they are going to rely on their defensive strength for their success this term and this, combined with the fact that Rovers haven’t quite looked the attacking threat they promised to be on the opening day, leads us to believe that backing there to be less than 2.5 goals scored is the way to go in this fixture.
