Celta Vigo vs Eibar Predictions

• Both teams have scored in six of Eibar’s last seven La Liga matches.

Both Teams to Have a Say at Balaidos

These sides’ last two league encounters have finished goalless, but we’re expecting a different outcome at Balaidos this weekend as both teams aim to break their poor runs of form.

After an excellent start under new boss Eduardo Coudet, Celta have now lost three league games on the spin following their 2-1 midweek defeat at Betis and go into this fixture 11^th in the table.

Eibar are four points behind them in 15^th after just one win in eight (D4, L3) and are perilously close the drop zone, with just two points separating themselves and the bottom three.

As such, a convincing case cannot be made for either team here in terms of collecting all three points but we can probably look forward to an open encounter in Galicia as it’s a fixture both clubs will feel they can win.

And recent La Liga games involving the pair suggest we could see goals at both ends of the field. Both teams have netted in all but one of Eibar’s last seven league starts, while Celta notched at least twice in four successive home games, prior to their 0-4 thrashing against Villarreal here last time out.

Celta defended woefully in that contest and have now conceded ten in five, so it’s easy to see why there should be plenty of attacking opportunities at Balaidos this Sunday.
