Cercle struggling at home

Cercle Brugge remain near the relegation zone in the Belgian Pro League, largely down to their poor home form which has seen them win just twice in ten outings.

That led to a change of manager, with Dominik Thalhammer taking charge and he has overseen an up turn in results, but there are still problems in defence.

Cercle have conceded 28 goals this season, 14 of them at Jan Breydel Stadium where they have kept just one clean sheet in the league.

Half of their home league matches have included three or more goals, as have 11 of 17 of their fixtures overall, and it is hard to see how they will keep their opposition at bay in this one.

Club scoring for fun

Club Brugge are an exciting team to watch. Their games average well over three goals per 90 minutes, largely down to their attacking manner that has already yielded 41 strikes.

That does leave them open at the other end though, with Philippe Clement’s side conceding 26 times already – no team in the top seven has been breached on more occasions.

They are proving difficult to beat though, losing just twice in the league this season, and they come into this one having won four of their last five in the Pro League.

I think this will be their 14th consecutive outing with three or more goals, while predicting that they will pick up another three points courtesy of a 2-1 correct score prediction.
