Crewe vs Yeovil Town Predictions

The clock is ticking for the 2018/19 season to reach its conclusion and in League Two, there remains plenty of issues which are still to be decided at both ends of the table. On Good Friday one side who are in the midst of a relegation dog fight, Yeovil Town, look to end their poor form by claiming three points when they make the trip to face off against a Crewe Alexandra side who are looking pretty strong at the moment.

Mission accomplished will be the thoughts of most fans about this season for Crewe Alexandra as, although they were unable to challenge for the end of season play-offs, most people would have settled for a solid campaign in which they secured the spot in the Football League for another season. Now that goal has been achieved, the Alex have played without pressure and with three wins in their last five outings, they are ending the season with the sort of momentum they hope will continue into the next campaign.

It is fair to say that 2019 has not exactly gone to plan for Yeovil Town as they have gone from a pretty comfortable position towards the middle of the division, into a side who seem incapable of preventing themselves from dropping down the division and into the relegation zone. The hosts have failed to record a victory in any of their previous seven outings and, with just one point recorded in that spell, it should come as a surprise to nobody to learn that they are now in the bottom two.

Given the inability that the visitors have shown to get over the line, it is hard to make a case for them to earn a positive result in this contest. When you also consider that their hosts have one of the best home records in the division and come into this contest in solid form, then backing Crewe to earn the three points appears to be the only move to make.
