Cyprus vs Estonia Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Cyprus managed to end their losing streak back in November when they beat minnows Gibraltar 3-1 after six consecutive defeats against Bosnia-Herzegovina (twice), Ukraine, Serbia, Belgium, and Greece.

Prior to that their last victory was over a year ago away to Israel, but their clash with Estonia is one they definitely feel is winnable with a bit of luck. The two teams are fairly well matched in terms of player quality and current FIFA ranking.

Estonia’s last outing was a friendly in November when they beat Antigua and Barbuda 1-0 away from home, following on from a friendly draw at St Kitts and Nevis and back to back defeats against Greece and Belgium.

Fortunately for them Cyprus’ home form isn’t exactly of a world beating standard. They have won two, drawn three, and lost eight of their last 13 outings there. Those two wins came against minnows such as Gibraltar and Andorra too.

Cyprus simply don’t seem to be able to beat any team other than the minnows of Europe, and that should mean that Estonia can get something from this match. The visitors have avoided defeat in five of their last 13 away days and many of those games were against teams much better than Cyprus. Considering Cyprus have won just two of their last 15 home matches, odds of 4/5 for an Estonia Win or Draw Double Chance looks good value.
