New York City set to continue winning run

DC United finally managed to end their winless streak away to New York Red Bulls last time out, but the Washington based are expected to have a tougher time against New York’s other team.

New York City come into this on the crest of a three match winning streak and have won five of their last seven. Their poor start to the season back in March keeps them down in 6th position in the Eastern Conference, but as they continue to improve there’s no doubt they’ll be rising up the ranks soon.

DC United, meanwhile, have won just two of their nine games in 2020 so far, losing three of their last five. They have also lost each of their last two home games against New York City, and with form firmly in the visitors’ favour we’re backing a New York City win here.

We’re not expecting a high scoring game though. Three of New York City’s recent victories have been to nil and two have ended in 1-0 wins, and with DC United scoring just three goals in their last five games another 1-0 triumph looks the best option for our correct score prediction.
