De Graafschap vs ADO Den Haag Predictions

Six points and five places separate De Graafschap and Den Haag ahead of their clash in the Eredivisie on Friday. De Graafschap closed the points gap between the two clubs last weekend when they beat Zwolle 3-0 and Den Haag were thrashed 5-1 by Ajax, but Friday’s hosts remain in the relegation places and even a win won’t lift them out of the bottom three this weekend.

An own goal from Lam in the thirty-sixth minute separated De Graafschap and Zwolle  at the halftime interval on Saturday. Zwolle created more goal scoring opportunities and had more possession, but it was De Graafschap that scored the all important second goal of the game through Benschop to go 2-0 up. Substitute Serrarens was sent-off for De Graafschap, but teammate Burgzorg ended any hopes of a comeback for the hosts with the visitors third goal of the game. Den Haag opened the scoring against Ajax in the thirty-sixth minute through top scorer El Khayati, but it proved to be a false dawn as Ajax responded with five goals to pick up a much deserved three points.

The recent head to head results and form of both teams heading into Friday’s match suggests De Graafschap are in with a great chance of picking up another important three points in their fight against relegation. De Graafschap have won three of their last six matches against Den Haag, and have won three of their last six matches in the Eredivisie. Den Haag have lost three of their last six league games and have won just one of their last four away games. Last weekends results also point towards a victory for De Graafschap, as the hosts picked up an impressive 3-0 win away at Zwolle, while Den Haag were heavily beaten at home by Ajax.

El Jebli and Serrarens joint top score for the hosts with six goals in this seasons Eredivisie, but the latter misses out on the game due to suspension. Den Haag’s top scorer El Khayati is now on thirteen league goals for the campaign after netting against Ajax. We’re confident that De Graafschap will follow up their 3-0 win against Zwolle with another victory at home to Den Haag on Friday, and have backed a final scoreline of 2-0. The hosts have a good recent record against Den Haag, edge the form guide, and have the home advantage against a Den Haag side that are bound to have had their confidence knocked after losing 5-1 at home last time out.
