Tense relegation battle at Pride Park

Derby and Rotherham meet this weekend with both sides in the relegation places, as both looks for the result that could lift them out of the bottom three.

Derby haven’t enjoyed the best of times in recent weeks, remaining in the drop zone and seeing their first team squad decimated due to COVID-19 leading to an FA Cup loss to National League North side, Chorley. They should be in better shape for this league game but confidence in low within the squad.

Rotherham have been on an awful run of form, losing eight of their last 10 games and exiting the FA Cup following a defeat to Everton last weekend. Their poor run has seen them drop into the bottom three and they will be keen to react quickly and pick up some points off a relegation rival.

There won’t be much confidence on either side this weekend and this could lead to a match severely lacking in quality and that might be most evident in the final third. With that in mind, we’re backing the goal line to be untouched and we’re predicting under 2.5 goals in this game.
