Monaco to return to winning ways at Dijon

Dijon remain bottom of the Ligue 1 table after suffering their eighth defeat of the season at home to Lille in midweek. Sunday’s hosts have still only claimed one win in their opening 15 league games but could move off the foot of the table with a win against Monaco. A 3-0 defeat to Lens means Monaco have now lost their last three matches, all coming against teams sitting above them in the Ligue 1 table.

A trip to struggling Dijon will give the visitors plenty of belief in a return to winning ways this weekend. Dijon have failed to win any of their home games this season and haven’t managed to score in their last four matches at Stade Gaston-Gérard. Monaco have had their issues in defence of late, but they go up against the worst attack in Ligue 1 on Sunday. Dijon are the only side in the division that are still to make it into double figures in goals scored but have actually only conceded one more goal than Monaco this season.

Under 2.5 goals have been produced in each of the pair’s last three encounters in Ligue 1 and Monaco have kept clean sheets in their last two wins over Sunday’s hosts. Dijon have been involved in a lot of low-scoring matches of late, most of which have ended in defeat, with five of their last six outings seeing under 2.5 goals scored.
