Dundee FC vs Celtic Betting Tips & Predictions

Dundee FC played out a very entertaining and, from their perspective, impressive 5-2 win over Ross County on Saturday, a result which saw them leapfrog their opponents into 6th place in the Scottish Premiership.

This leaves them just in the top half of the table ahead of the imminent split in the table, but they will need to hold off Ross County to maintain their spot.

That’s easier said than done when you’re not in the greatest of form and coming up against Celtic. Dundee FC have only won one of their last six outings in all competitions and have lost two of their last four.

Celtic, on the other hand, beat Hearts on Saturday to make it four wins in a row for them. The visitors are unbeaten in nine outings in all competitions and have won six times during this run. This, unsurprisingly, leaves them at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

They are four points clear of 2nd placed Aberdeen and have a game in hand on the chasing team, but usually by now they have the title all but wrapped up. Aberdeen have done an excellent job of keeping the pace with their title opponents, but they will be ruing some poor results. Celtic have given them the opportunity to challenge them this season, and on more than one occasion they have passed that opportunity up. Now it seems Celtic are back to their dominant selves.

The visitors haven’t been at their best defensively recently though. They have only kept two clean sheets in their last seven away games, although their attack has made up for that with at least a goal in each of their last 19 trips away.

Dundee FC have only failed to score in one of their last nine home matches, and have scored a total of 24 goals during this period. Their attack will be high on confidence after their five goal haul against Ross County as well. This makes odds of 19/20 for Both Teams to Score look very good value to me, and I’m going for that along with a 2-1 win for Celtic at 7/1.
