FC Dallas vs FC Cincinnati Predictions

Dallas hammered local rivals Houston Dynamo 5-1 and will be buzzing heading into Sunday’s clash with the Eastern Conference’s bottom club. Cincinnati are without a win in their last seven matches and were beaten at home 3-1 by Columbus Crew last time out.

All of the stats suggest that We should be treated to plenty of goals in this game and we’ve backed Dallas to come away with all three points.

Dallas are unbeaten in their last three home games, picking up two wins and a draw, while Cincinnati have lost five of their last six MLS games but have only failed to score in one of those matches.

Both teams have been involved in a number of high scoring games of late, with over 3.5 goals being scored in three of Dallas’ last four matches as well as in each of Cincinnati’s last three matches. The hosts have actually scored over 3.5 team goals in two of their last four matches, netting five against Houston Dynamo and Minnesota United.

Cincinnati have only won two of their fifteen away games in all competitions this season but the visitors have scored in all of their last five matches in the MLS which shows that their struggles are in defence and not in attack. Cincinnati have conceded fifteen goals in their last six matches, seven of which have arrived in their last two games which is cause for great concern this weekend.

Dallas have netted thirteen goals in their last four games but have also conceded seven goals during that period and their attacking style of play does allow their opponents to create plenty of chances of their own and is the main reason we’ve backed a final score of 4-2 this weekend.

We’re confident that Dallas will win and over 3.5 goals will be scored in the process and have predicted a final scoreline of 4-2. The hosts are in the best of form but with two wins, two draws, and two defeats from their last six matches they are still playing much better than Cincinnati. The visitors have been losing the majority of their matches but always seem to carry a threat going forward and if they can work out their defensive issues they will surely improve next season.
