      Feyenoord vs Rangers Predictions

Group G is still very tight heading into the penultimate round of fixtures, with three points separating Porto and Feyenoord from the top two, Rangers and Young Boys. Feyenoord haven’t had the best of seasons domestically but are undefeated at home in Group G so far, while Rangers are yet to win away from home in the Europa League, despite having three more points on the board than Thursday’s hosts.

All the stats suggest that a double chance bet on Feyenoord is the best way to go on Thursday and we have backed the pair to play out a goalless draw.

Rangers head into the match as the clear form favourites, unbeaten in their last nine matches and winning their last six in all competitions. But Feyenoord’s form has improved of late and the hosts haven’t lost any of their last four games, which include two wins and two draws. Rangers are yet to secure three points on the road in Group G, drawing 1-1 at Porto and losing 2-1 in Switzerland against Young Boys, while Feyenoord have picked up a 1-1 draw at home to Young Boys and beat Porto 2-0 in their other home game.

Rangers have kept two clean sheets in their opening four group games, while Feyenoord have failed to score in two of their four matches and have kept one clean sheet, which is why we are backing a 0-0 draw between the pair on Thursday. Feyenoord have only lost one of their seven domestic home games this season and Rangers are yet to be beaten on the road in Scotland, so we are expecting a very close and competitive 90 minutes between the pair.

Rangers have conceded an average of 0.43 goals away from home this season and have kept clean sheets in 57% of their games on the road in Scotland. Feyenoord have, however, only failed to score in 14% of their home games in the Eredivisie and that means there is a chance the hosts will score on Thursday. That is why we have gone with a double chance bet instead of backing an outright draw between the pair.

Rangers have looked at their worst on the road in the Europa League this season, compared to any other competition, but are playing well enough to claim a point in Rotterdam due to that excellent defensive record of late; a record which has produced four clean sheets in Rangers’ last five outings.

We’re confident a double chance bet on the hosts will pay out this week and we have predicted a final scoreline of 0-0 between the pair. Feyenoord have struggled for consistency both domestically and in the Europa League but head into Thursday’s match in the midst of a four-game unbeaten streak. Rangers are yet to win on the road in Group G but head into the game unbeaten in their last nine matches and will be confident of securing an away point, one that would suit the visitors much more than it would their hosts.
