France vs Andorra Predictions

As both Turkey and Iceland continue to impress, France needed to beat Albania on Saturday evening and beat them they did. After picking up a vital win, the French will be looking for another important three points when they host minnows Andorra on Tuesday evening.

Predictably, France made light work of beating Albania at home on Saturday evening, winning by four goals to one. Right from the word go, it was evident that the world champions had far too much in the locker for inferior opposition. That said, Didier Deschamps’ men haven’t had it all their own way in qualifying. At the half-way point they may find themselves top of the group, but they’re only there thanks to goal difference. Both Iceland and Turkey have accrued them same number amount of points as Les Bleus, who’re a long way from guaranteeing their spot at EURO 2020.

Fortunately for France, they’re up against a very weak Andorra side, which ought to yield a much-needed three points.

While the French are competing at the top, the Andorrans are struggling at the foot of Group H. Tuesday’s visitors come into this match having won none of their five qualifiers. They remain pointless. Not only have they scored zero goals, but Andorra are yet to get off the mark in front of goal, scoring zero in five. At the other end of proceedings, they’ve shipped 11. All round it’s been a disappointing campaign for the minnows.

From a betting point of view, this is one of those many unappealing international fixtures. France will win at a canter and the odds available are very much reflective of that.

Those looking to get financially involved in this game should try ‘France to Win & Under 4.5 Goals’. There’ll be a chasm in quality between the two teams and this could quite easily be a very high-scoring win for the French, though when we run the numbers, the above selection makes some appeal at the prices. For all France have bettered the minnows in Group H with ease, they’re yet to score more than four goals in a single game. Their average of 1.78 expected goals for tells us that they’ve not exactly been unfortunate not to do so either. What’s more, for all the Andorrans have struggled, they’re yet to conceded five and have only conceded four once. They’ve shipped an average of 1.9 expected goals.

Taking the above into consideration, backing the French to win comfortably without breaking any scoring records looks to be the most viable option.
