      Hull City vs Brentford Predictions

      • Hull have failed to score in four of their home clashes with top-10 sides.
      • The Tigers have lost each of their last four games.
      • Hull have been beaten by all of the top six sides at home.
      • Brentford have won four of their six visits to sides in the bottom half of the table.

      Can Brentford Bounce Back?

Having looked like the main threat to the top two after Christmas, Brentford have slowed down in their promotion push. After losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, the Bees are in dire need of a result.

However, the visitors could have landed the perfect fixture to return to form. Hull have issues of their own, while they will look at this as yet another difficult game against one of the league’s leading sides.

      Troubles at the KCOM

Hull remain in the bottom half of the table, with their 2020 taking a tough turn. Hull have failed to score with any of their last 41 shots in the Championship since a Jarrod Bowen goal on New Year’s Day. Bowen and another important forward, Kamil Grosicki, both left the club on Deadline Day to add to their recent woes.

Tigers have scored just five times at home to the top 10, with four of those coming in one game against Preston.Hull come into this clash with four straight defeats across all competitions.

In that time they’ve gone out of the FA Cup and seen any top-six hopes they had dashed. Their midweek loss to Huddersfield was another significant blow, as it marked Hull’s fourth consecutive home loss at the KCOM.

      Hull’s Top Six Struggle

Hull are losing frequently at home now, having struggled all season at home to the league’s top sides. The Tigers have lost to four of the current top six, with Leeds and Brentford still to visit the KCOM. Could that give Brentford an opening to return to form?

The visitors have an impressive record when it comes to travelling to sides in the bottom half of the table. They’ve won four of six, scoring 10 of their 19 away goals in those six games. Those six matches account for 65% of the points from Brentford’s 15 trips this season.

We expect the visitors to take this chance to return to form. Hull should continue to struggle here against stronger sides, having lost 1-0 to three of the current top 10. With Brentford seeing a single goal scored in 40% of their away games this season, we’re backing a 1-0 away win for the Bees this weekend.
