Ilves vs TPS Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Last season’s Ykkönen champions, Turku PS, have had a difficult start to life back in Finland’s top division and with nine games played already, they have just six points on the board. Things don’t get any easier either, as this weekend sees them travel to Ilves.

The hosts have been in pretty decent shape in the build up to this match and have suffered just one defeat in their last seven outings. It is a stark contrast to the form shown by the visitors, who have failed to win in any of their previous six matches. Given the form of these two sides, we think that the hosts will be able to claim all three points and are backing them for our tip.

However, a head to head record which is weighted heavily in the favour of the visitors is hard to ignore and is enough for us to take some precautions. Those precautions take the shape of the ‘Draw – No Bet’ option, which simply means that if the match finishes all square then our bet would be made void and our stake would be refunded.

Although the head to head record is a concern, it is quite a while since these two sides last faced off and we are banking on the fact that the tides have changed since that last meeting. Turku PS may have scored two goals or more in each of their last four away matches but there is plenty of goals going in at the other end and we think that they may struggle to break down their opposition, given that Ilves usually keep things tighter than TPS have found this term.
