Kristiansund vs Molde Predictions

This game sees last season’s runners up Molde back in action and they have the chance to move up to 3rd in the table with most of the other games in the Norwegian top flight on Sunday. However Kristiansund will also by eyeing up maximum points which would fire them into the top half and to within a point of their opponents.

The bookies make the visitors the slight favourites but it should be a pretty even game. Molde have struggled to find the level they reached last term and already they find themselves 10 points off the top. That’s a huge margin to make up in what is a relatively short league season in Norway and unless they can put a real winning run together soon, they are unlikely to be involved in the scrap for the title.

Kristiansund are also worse off than they were at the end of last season but only marginally so. They finished a creditable 7th in their first top flight campaign last time around and are doing a good job of stabilising at this level. They come into this one in good form following back-to-back wins.

Their last home game was particularly impressive as they hammered Stromsgodset 4-0, with a clinical display that may just prove a real turning point in their campaign. They’d been going through a bit of a rough patch prior to that but with an average of 1.67 points per home game, they’ve done quite well in front of their own fans overall and will fancy they can at least get something from this one.

Molde’s away record certainly suggests they will. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have won just once on their travels so far this term. They average just one point per game away which is nowhere near good enough for a side that started out with title ambitions.

Their last four away performances have all been particularly poor with no wins in that period. They were beaten 3-1 at Ranheim last time out and that sequence also includes an embarrassing cup exit against third tier side Brattvåg.

In that kind of form, the value bet here looks to be going for Kristiansund Draw No Bet. It’s likely to be a fairly close game though and the odds certainly reflect that, so going for a 2-1 Home Win could be the smart move in the Correct Score market rather than anything more convincing.
