LA Galaxy vs Toronto FC Predictions

LA Galaxy have played eighteen league games this season and have thirty-one points on the board which is enough to see them placed second in the Western Conference table, six points behind arch-rivals LAFC. Visiting Toronto sit seventh in the Eastern Conference and have also played eighteen times in the MLS so far but only have twenty-three points to their name.

LA Galaxy made the short trip to Stanford, California last weekend where they met SJ Earthquakes for what was a very evenly matched ninety minutes. However, a goal in the first half and two in the second saw the hosts claim what looks like a comfortable victory in the end, but if LA Galaxy had put their best chances away then they might even have won this game.

Toronto were also away from home at the weekend as they made the trip to Washington to face DC United. DeLeon handed Toronto a surprise lead in the nineteenth minute and the visitors held that advantage right the way into stoppage time. DC United were the better team that day and delivered at least a point from the match, which they got two minutes into stoppage time when Rooney converted a penalty to make it 1-1.

The recent encounters between these two clubs and the form and performances of both teams over the last month or so, all point towards a double chance bet on Toronto being the safest bet for Friday’s game. Toronto have won their last three matches against LA Galaxy, both teams have scored the last two times the pair have met, and over 2.5 goals have been scored in five of the last seven encounters between the two clubs. LA Galaxy have lost three of their last five matches, while Toronto have only lost one of their last five matches. Over 2.5 goals were scored in four of LA Galaxy’s and four of Toronto’s last six matches, which is why we’re backing a final scoreline of 2-2 on Friday.

Veteran forward Ibrahimović leads the way once again for LA Galaxy this season with eleven MLS goals, while Pozuelo top scores for the visitors with seven league goals. We’re confident that a double chance bet on Toronto will payout on Friday and have predicted a final score of 2-2. Toronto have a good recent record against their hosts and have only lost one of their last five matches in all competitions, but with just one win during that period we couldn’t back the visitors to claim all three points outright.
