Nantes look to be up against it

Nantes need points to drag themselves out of relegation trouble in Ligue 1 but they look destined to return from their trip to Lille empty-handed.

The strugglers have hit a rough patch at form at just the wrong time and it is between them and Auxerre as to who will fill the fourth relegation spot with two games to go.

However, they have not won in their last 13 matches and having claimed just two away Ligue 1 wins this season, it is difficult to be confident about their chances in their penultimate game, particularly as they haven’t scored in their last four outings.

Lille, meanwhile, have been a tough nut to crack on their own patch and their results at the Stade Pierre Mauroy have gone a long way towards them being fifth in the table.
