Londrina vs Avai Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Thursday’s Brazilian Serie B action features an interesting looking clash between Londrina and Avai. A close game is expected to be on the cards as both teams fight for the points.

Points are exactly what Londrina fans have been asking for and are now finally beginning to get; with the hosts in improved form in recent weeks. Tubarão only just missed out on promotion last season but have certainly underwhelmed so far this campaign, currently sitting 13th, just two points above the drop zone.

Nonetheless, arriving for the clash unbeaten in three matches, taking 5 points in the process, Londrina have started to show some resolve and boss Sergio Soares is yet to lose since coming in as boss as a result. That being said, home performance really do need to starting improving swiftly if Londrina are to salvage anything from the season, coming into this match at the Estádio Municipal Jacy Scaff having won just 1 of the last 6 outings in front of the home crowd.

If Londrina are to run out victors, they’ll certainly have to play well with Avai the visitors in town. Coming into the season as a recently relegated side, Leão da Ilha were always likely to be amongst the front runners in Serie B this year and certainly have been so far, currently sitting 6th, just 1 point shy of the top four.

A couple of weeks ago you’d have had this down as down as a comfortable Avai win but the encounter looks far less clear cut now that Londrina arrive in improved shape and the visitors in less than inspiring form.
