PSG can win with room to spare

PSG are the heavy favourites to win so it could pay to be bold here and back the visitors to win with a -1 handicap.

The Parisians overcame last season’s closest rivals Lens 3-1 in their last fixture and five of their last seven victories have come by at least two goals, stretching back into last season.

Lyon have shipped six goals across three games and their worst display has come at their Parc Olympique Lyonnais home as they slumped to a 4-1 defeat to Montpellier. If PSG manage to score early, it could open up the floodgates so back the visitors to win with some room to spare.

Clean sheet for visitors

PSG claimed a pair of 1-0 wins over Lyon last season but they can claim a more comfortable 3-0 success on Sunday.

Lyon have only managed four shots on target across their last two games so may struggle to break down a PSG defence that tends to raise their game against the better sides in France, keeping shut-outs at Marselle and Nice towards the end of last season.

After a tough summer and sitting out the first game, Kylian Mbappe has been in good form for PSG with three goals across his last two games, starting just one of those, and he is the obvious choice for an anytime scorer bet.
