Maastricht vs FC Eindhoven Predictions

With the race for the Eerste Divisie Play-offs gathering speed, FC Eindhoven are one of the sides moving firmly in the right direction after banking 11 points from their last five matches. In contrast, MVV are plummeting after failing to win any of their last six, and they desperately need three points this Friday when they square off against Blauw-witten at De Geusselt.

Elisha Sam and Elton Kabangu were on target as FC Eindhoven edged out Oss 2-1 in a tight encounter at Jan Louwers Stadion on Monday night, and David Nascimento’s side are now up to 11th in the Eerste Divisie table and just a single point behind the Play-off places with six games of the regular season to go.

Following a difficult February and beginning to March which saw Blauw-witten collect just one point from four matches, Eindhoven are now looking in really decent shape after three wins and two draws from their last five fixtures – including that outstanding 8-1 battering of Dordrecht on match day 31.

Another victory against MVV this Friday could well see Nascimento’s side leap into the top nine, and the visitors will feel they have a favourite’s chance based on their current form and recent travelling record.

Eindhoven have won six of their last nine on the road making them one of the best away teams in the second tier, and they face an MVV side here who have lost on seven occasions at home this term.

MVV racked up a sequence of six consecutive wins during January and February; however things have gone south for Ron Elsen’s charges over the past few weeks.

The hosts have fallen to 13th after scraping just three draws from their last six Eerste Divisie outings, and they were rolled over by Sparta Rotterdam 2-0 at Het Kasteel on Monday with little resistance.

MVV have won their last two league meetings against FC Eindhoven which will give them hope for this Friday’s contest, but ultimately it’s the away side who should be supported here at a shade under 2/1.

That’s a great price factoring in how well they have done lately along with their impressive away record, whilst the hosts have completely lost their way and are in danger of dropping out of the Play-off picture altogether over the next fortnight or so.

We’re recommending a two point wager on Nascimento’s men to bank their ninth away win of the campaign, and we’re also going for a 0-2 correct score prediction.
