Mallorca still in trouble

Just five points separate Mallorca and the bottom three, with a run of just two wins in nine La Liga games meaning they continue to struggle against relegation.

Their defence is a real concern. They have not kept a clean sheet in eight league fixtures, with six of those outings including at least three goals and half a dozen ending in defeat.

At home, Luis García’s side have only beaten one side in the top half of the table, but their saving grace is they are scoring goals, netting in five of their last nine, home or away.

Real Sociedad need an away league win

Real Sociedad extended a winless away league run to five matches when they lost 4-0 to Athletic Bilbao last week, but they have only been defeated once on the road in six in all competitions.

Imanol Alguacil’s side are watertight defensively at home, but not so on their travels, where they have conceded 19 times in 12 outings, with another 4-0 defeat coming at the hands of Real Betis.

They have however kept clean sheets in four of their last five in the league, while three of their last four away games have included at least three goals.

I expect goals in this game, predicting three or more in the match, while this could be where Real Sociedad get that much needed away win, so I predict a 2-1 victory to the visitors.
