Both looking to end unbeaten runs

The hosts come into this one having failed to win any of their last four league matches and suffered a defeat last time out away to Inter Miami. They did however secure victory at home to Charlotte in the MLS Cup during the week and they’ll be hoping they can use that result to build some momentum ahead of this clash. However, they’ve failed to win any of their six home matches this calendar year and they will do whatever they can to ensure they don’t join a short list of clubs who’ve gone winless in their first seven home games of a season.

DC United’s winless run was extended to three matches when they drew 2-2 against Toronto on home soil last weekend in what was an exceptionally disappointing result. It’s been in defence where they’ve struggled and it’s cost them dearly. They’ve conceded at least two goals in eight of their last 10 matches and it seems highly likely that they will be picking the ball out of their own net at some point during this game.
