Lille to Return to Winning Ways at the Expense of Nimes

Nimes suffered a 5-0 defeat away at Strasbourg on Wednesday, taking their goal difference to -25 and leaving the club bottom of the table. Lille also lost in midweek, going down 2-1 in their own backyard against an Angers side that have impressed on the road this season.

Lille sit 3rd in the Ligue 1 table heading into a game against an opponent they have really enjoyed playing against over the years. The visitors have claimed six wins, three draws and only suffered one defeat in their last 10 matches against Nimes. Fixtures between the two clubs have tended to produce a lot of goals, with each of their last five encounters in all competitions seeing at least four goals scored.
