      Norwich vs Bolton Predictions

Championship leaders Norwich are heavy favourites ahead of Saturday’s clash with Bolton. The Canaries are going up against the second from bottom side in the league, which should see them cruise to another three points. They’ve moved five points clear of third after some brilliant form of late. It’s hard to imagine that run coming to an end at home to a side who are on a fast-track to League One. The Trotters are only ahead of Norwich’s rivals Ipswich in the table, and they aren’t expected to climb out of the bottom three on Saturday.

Norwich have been in fine form of late, and they remain clear in the Championship’s form table. They’re gunning for a Premier League return, and their recent form has seen them take up a commanding place in the division. They were 3-1 winners over Rotherham at the weekend, and are coming into this one expecting to wrap up another three points as they move into the crucial festive fixture list.

Bolton had kicked off with a solid start, but they have seen their form fall apart in recent months. They’re flying towards relegation, following one win in their last 16 games. They were able to avoid defeat last time out, after a 1-1 draw at home to Wigan. However, that was a missed chance for the Trotters, who are now facing one of the toughest tasks of the campaign as they head to the high-flying league leaders. Do the visitors have any chance of causing a shock on Saturday?

One issue for Bolton is that they can’t score goals. They have averaged 0.65 goals per game in the league this term, and they’ve found the net just seven times on the road so far. Their last seven trips have seen them score twice, finding the net at Rotherham and Millwall, two sides who are in the bottom five of the division. Heading to the league leaders isn’t exactly a great chance for them to turn that form around.

The Trotters have lost to nil in almost half of their matches this term, while Norwich have won and kept a clean sheet in 40% of their games at Carrow Road. With just a gulf between them in the table, we expect the Canaries to come away with the victory here. We’re going for Norwich to win to nil, after claiming seven victories in their last eight matches.
