Steve Cooper’s arrival at Nottingham Forest has certainly made them a more open side, with Chris Hughton’s tenure failing to excite without bringing his trademark defensive solidity.

Forest scored only five times in their opening seven games, but they’ve racked up 13 in the nine since. They’ve scored in all but one of their matches since Hughton departed, but their good form has taken a turn of late as the hosts are winless in three games.

Defensively there are still problems for Forest, who have failed to keep a clean sheet in five. Expect them to be tested this weekend with Preston looking up after their 2-1 win at Bournemouth.

The visitors have won three of their last four in the league, scoring six goals along the way. However, they’ve kept only two clean sheets away from home and Forest look likely to score again. Back both teams to score in this one, while I see Forest getting back on track with a 2-1 win over a Preston side who have lost four of eight trips this term.
