Orebro vs Hacken Predictions

There’s not much separating these two sides heading into this Sunday’s match in the Swedish Allsvenskan. Orebro are a point better off than Hacken but neither side take any real form into this one. Both coaches will be slightly concerned that a continuation of this current slump in form may lead to their teams slipping into the bottom half of the table and potentially into a relegation battle.

The sides actually met just last weekend in the reverse fixture and there was nothing between the teams. The sides played out a 1-1 draw with both goals coming in the final half hour. Forward Kennedy Igboananike grabbed a late leveller for Orebro and they would have been glad to take the point from the game.

It was their first since returning from the summer break with three straight defeats prior to that. They’ve certainly slumped down following a bright start to this campaign when they looked like they could mount a surprise title challenge. They’ve been competitive in just about all their matches this term though and no side has won at the Behrn Arena by more than one clear goal.

Things aren’t really any brighter in the Hacken camp right now. They are without a win in six in all competitions and exited the Europa League on Thursday night against RB Leipzig of Germany. They’ve won just 1 of their last 7 in the Allsvenskan and it feels a bit like their European campaign has had a negative impact on their league form.

That doesn’t bode well for them here as they return to action just 72 hours after their latest European match. They are still the slight favourites with the bookies but there are reasons to doubt that and certainly the hosts should be the fresher of the two teams.

Hacken’s dreadful away league record this season is another reason to think Orebro could bag all the points. Hacken have lost a huge 75% of their away matches in the Allsvenskan this term and only two teams in the division have accumulated fewer points away. Orebro’s home record may not be brilliant either but 2 of their 3 home defeats have come against top sides in the shape of early season pace-setters Hammarby and defending champions Malmo.

This shouldn’t be anything like such a tough test and they will take confidence from having got a point away to Hacken last weekend. Overall backing Orebro Draw No Bet appeals and it’s perhaps worth having that insurance given all of the last four meetings between this pair have finished level.
