Goals may be in short supply at Deepdale

Derby’s 12-point deduction has done serious damage to their Championship survival claims, but the Rams can put in a positive performance at Preston.

Despite their off-field problems, Derby have shown plenty of fight and the Championship’s basement boys head to Deepdale having lost only two of their last nine matches.

Derby lack a cutting edge but they have kept five clean sheets in eight games, which includes recent meetings with West Brom, Reading and Swansea, so are evidently capable of keeping the scoreline down.

With hosts Preston also winless in six matches, we are predicting a low-scoring encounter with under 2.5 goals the best bet on offer.
