PSV vs Haugesund predictions for Thursday’s Europa League qualifier. PSV pinched a 1-0 win in Norway last week and are expected to finish off the job on Thursday night and book their place in the next round of the Europa League. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Reason For PSV vs Haugesund Betting Tips

PSV have an away goal and a clean sheet to take into Thursday’s 2nd leg against Haugesund in the Europa League qualifiers and, with the home advantage, the bookmakers are backing the Dutch club to progress through to the next round. Haugesund will feel that they missed out on an opportunity during last week’s 1st leg, in which their finishing proved wayward, but remain in this tie while PSV only lead by one goal.

The stats and current form of both clubs suggest that PSV look set for a win, a clean sheet, and at least three goals on Thursday night. PSV head into the 2nd leg having won three of their last six matches, while their guests have failed to win any of their last four games, three of which have ended in defeat.

The performances of PSV at home in competitive matches has been excellent of late, with the Dutch side winning their last seven at the Philips Stadion. The last four of those competitive home wins have all seen PSV score exactly three goals on each occasion, beating Den Haag 3-1, Basel 3-2, Heracles 3-0, and Den Haag again 3-1.

We’ve backed a clean sheet for the hosts on Thursday for a couple of reasons, one of which is that Haugesund have failed to score in their last two matches, both at home and both ending 1-0. PSV play in a much more competitive league than their guests and while the score remains at 1-0, the Eredivisie side can’t take their guests lightly and will be expected to field their strongest eleven to ensure they get the job done.

We’re confident that PSV will win to nil on Thursday and have predicted a final scoreline of 3-0. Haugesund’s poor finishing cost them in Norway and the visitors are unlikely to see anywhere near as many chances in the reverse fixture, while PSV will control the possession and should score at least three goals, as they so often have done at home since the end of last season and the beginning of this one.

Head to Head

These two clubs met for the first time last week and it's PSV that lead the head to head record after winning the game 1-0.

PSV Team News

PSV Team Badge Gaston Pereiro, Sam Lammers, Yannick Van Osch, and Ryan Thomas could all miss out for the hosts due to injury.

Haugesund Team Badge Haugesund have no fresh injury concerns or suspended players ahead of the trip to Eindhoven.
