QPR vs Bolton Predictions

Queens Park Rangers head into this game winless in four following losses to Brentford and Rotherham whilst picking up draws against Stoke City and away at Hull City last time out. That has seen them sit in 17th place in the table and are 8 points above the relegation zones. They should be safe providing they pick up a few more points and they will see this game as the perfect opportunity to all but secure Championship football for next season

Bolton Wanderers on the other hand are fighting against relegation, however it looks a battle they are fighting in vain. They sit 23rd in the table and are 8 points adrift of safety and another loss here will all but end their stay in the Championship. They come into this game in poor form, losing 5 of their last 6 games and winning the other. Last time out they were thrashed 5-2 away at fellow strugglers Wigan to make their survival task even harder.

Queens Park Rangers have been mediocre at home this season winning 8, drawing 3 and losing 8 of their 19 home games this season. They have scored 27 goals at home and conceded 26 showing they have been bang average at Loftus road. Their recent home is a cause for concern however as although they picked up a great 1-0 home win against Leeds back at the end of February, they have lost 4 of their last 6 home outings including a 2-1 loss against relegation battling Rotherham United last time out.

Bolton on the other hand haven’t been the worst away side in the division this season. Their 13 point haul ranks them the 21st best home team thanks to 3 wins, 4 draws and 12 losses from their 19 away games. They score just 0.74 goals per game away from home but conceded 1.84 per game on average, keeping just 3 clean sheets away from home all season.

Both sides have been awful of late, Queens Park Rangers have lost 4 of their last 6 home games whilst Bolton Wanderers have lost 9 of their last 10 away games. We have to favour the home side in this one purely for the fact Bolton have been horrendous of late and look defeated. For that basis we are playing safe and backing Queens Park Rangers to win the game but with low stakes. On the correct score front we don’t think Bolton will make it on the score sheet and are predicting this one to end 2-0 to the home side.
