Another struggle for Royals?

It’s hard to have much faith in Reading this term, with their squad looker weaker than the one which finished 21st in the Championship last term. Paul Ince isn’t an inspiring managerial choice, while they remain under threat of more points deductions.

The Royals have made only free signings and loans to date. Given the standout signing is probably the manager’s son, things look bleak for the hosts.

Reading lost 1-0 to Blackpool in their opener, while it’s hard to see why Cardiff are almost 2/1 to pile onto their misery.

Bluebirds the value

The visitors aren’t expected to grab much more than a top-half finish in spite of that win, but they should prove too strong here. The Bluebirds won away to three of the bottom four last term – including a victory at Reading.

The Bluebirds won more games away than at home last season and given they face one of the relegation prospects, look to take them at a decent price for a second win of the campaign.
