Roda JC are veterans to the Eredivisie, with their relegation and direct promotion back in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons representing the only blemish on a 43-year period of top flight football. Last season’s 14th placed finish, only five points above Willem II and the relegation zone, was expected for the side as they aimed to re-establish themselves.
