Leaky San Jose worth opposing against Dallas

No MLS team conceded more regular-season goals than San Jose Earthquakes in 2020 and the club looked shaky at the back once again in their 2-1 defeat to Houston Dynamo on Saturday.

The Quakes lost in the opening match of the 2021 MLS season to a Dynamo side who finished bottom of the Western Conference last year and San Jose only got on the scoresheet thanks to a wonderstrike from Paul Marie.

With that in mind, they could be worth opposing against Dallas, who actually beat Houston 3-0 in a friendly recently and started the season with a goalless draw with Colorado Rapids.

They placed sixth in the Western Conference last term, reaching the conference semi-finals, and although the season is still in its infancy, they should be fancied to come out on top here.

Given the vulnerabilities in both defences, a 3-1 away win is our best correct score prediction.
