Sevilla have long left their dreadful start to the season – and any relegation fears – behind them, with a run of nine wins in 11 home games the bedrock of a stunning surge up the table.

Two of those successes have come under José Luis Mendilibar, who remains unbeaten since taking the reins in March, registering five victories and two draws from seven outings.

That means ‘Los Nervionenses’ are eying a place in top half of La Liga, and after keeping six clean sheets in their last ten outings at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, they will be confident of getting another win.

Victory for Sevilla would actually lift them above opponents Girona in the table, although their visitors will have other ideas of letting that happen after beating Real Madrid 4-2 last time out.

That was a stunning success for Michel Sanchez‘s side, but they have worryingly only picked up back-to-back wins once since November.

On top of that, they arrive at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on a run of four away matches without a victory, failing to score in two of them.
