Both teams can make their mark

Preston flew out of the blocks be claiming 19 points from their opening seven Championship matches, but North End have collected just three wins in their 15 matches since and they may not have enough to emerge victorious at Swansea.

The Lilywhites need to pick themselves up from the 5-1 humbling they suffered at home to Watford on Saturday, but they should have enough to at least score against the Swans, who have been struggling on their own patch.

The managerless Welsh outfit were beaten 2-1 in their last game at home to Middlesbrough, but that is six matches since they last won on their own patch, so it is a bit of a leap of faith to back them to break that cycle even if their opponents are struggling.

Both teams have scored in their last seven matches and that is a pattern we can see continuing on Friday.

Difficult to put faith in either outfit

Neither of these teams are in strong form and it is notable that only Coventry have drawn more home games than Swansea in the Championship this season.

Following that thrashing by the Hornets, Preston will surely be keen to just steady the ship so a point for the playoff hopefuls may not be a bad result, even though bottom-of-the-table Rotherham are the only team Swansea have beaten in their last eight games.

Neither team stand out as a confident win selection, so a 1-1 draw may be attractive for correct-score punters.
