Tianjin Quanjian vs Beijing Guoan Predictions

Last weekend Tianjin Quanjian picked up all three points from their away game against Guangzhou R&F, and in the process leapfrogged their hosts and moved up to tenth in the CSL table. High flying Beijing Guoan provide the opposition on Friday, but the visitors head into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat away against relegation battlers Henan Jianye.

Former Brazil international Alexandre Pato put Tianjin in front in the seventh minute against Guangzhou R&F, and teammate Sun Ke doubled the visitors advantage four minutes later. The hosts needed to respond in the second half as this match was starting to get away from them, and they did in the fifty-eighth minute through Zahavi to make it 2-1.

However, the hosts joy didn’t last long as Sun Ke netted his brace in the fifty-ninth minute and Pato followed suit on the seventy minute mark to make it 4-1 to the visitors. A Renatinho penalty with ten minutes left on the clock saw Guangzhou R&F pull a goal back, but a minute later Pato scored a goal which would see the Brazilian take home the match ball and in stoppage time Yang Xu converted a penalty to make the final score an impressive 6-2 to Tianjin Quanjian.

Pato has now scored fourteen goals in the CSL this season and is proving his worth to the Tianjin fans, while teammate Yang Xu has chipped in with seven goals, and the injured Modeste has only managed to score four times in his twelve appearances so far this season.

Bakambu leads the way in front of goal for Beijing Guoan with sixteen league goals, while Spaniard Jonathan Viera has eleven goals to his name, and Brazil’s Renato Augusto has chipped in with ten. Beijing Guoan are the third highest scorers in the CSL this season, and its not a surprise considering their forward line is packed with talent, none of which have even reached the twilight of their careers yet.

Despite a strong attack, Beijing Guoan could not stop themselves from being beaten 2-0 by relegation threatened Henan Jianye on Sunday. The two teams went in level at the break following a fair dull and uneventful first forty-five minutes.

Fernando Karanga broke the deadlock for the struggling hosts in the seventy-sixth minute, and the three points were wrapped up in stoppage time by substitute Du Changjie who scored the home sides second goal. The defeat to lowly Henan Jianye wasn’t all that surprising considering the inconsistent form of Beijing Guoan in recent weeks, with Friday’s guests picking up two wins, one draw, and suffering three defeats in their last six matches in league and cup.

We’re confident that Friday’s match will feature over 2.5 goals and see both teams score, with the game to end in a 2-2 draw. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in two of the previous three meetings between the two clubs. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Tianjin Quanjian’s last six matches and in three of Beijing Guoan’s last six matches, and we’re expecting at least three goals to be scored in Friday’s game as well.
