Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in each of Tottenham’s last eight league games and the high-scoring theme of their matches can continue against Crystal Palace, who have netted away at Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United this season.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Correct-score punters may want to side with a 2-2 draw, which was the scoreline in Tottenham’s last home game with the Red Devils. Spurs have scored exactly twice in each of their last three on their own patch and are vulnerable to Palace’s pace on the counter-attack.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in each of Tottenham’s last eight league games
  • Crystal Palace have scored away at Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United this season
  • Spurs have scored at least twice in six of their last eight league games

London rivals can put on a show

Both Tottenham and Crystal Palace were involved in seven-goal thrillers in their last Premier League match and the London rivals should serve up plenty more entertainment.

While Spurs were edged out 4-3 in the final moments against Liverpool at Anfield, Palace were celebrating success by the same scoreline in a classic with West Ham at Selhurst Park.

Tottenham should be bitterly disappointed to suffer defeat on Sunday given they had been 3-0 down inside 15 minutes yet thought they had snatched a point with Richarlison’s 93rd-minute equaliser.

However, Diogo Jota went straight up the other end to put Liverpool back in front, leaving Spurs with only one point from their last four league games.

That topsy-turvy encounter came on the back of another lively clash at home to Manchester United, when they trailed 2-0 before second-half goals from Pedro Porro and Heung-Min Son salvaged a draw.

Slow starts are becoming a common theme for Tottenham, who were also 5-0 down in only 19 minutes against Newcastle at St. James’ Park prior to that.

Spurs went on to lose that game 6-1, which came on the back of a 3-2 defeat at home to Bournemouth.

Acting head coach Cristian Stellini was sacked on the back of the hiding from Newcastle and was replaced by Ryan Mason, who overseen their draw with Manchester United and high-scoring defeat to Liverpool.

Those performances under Mason were a slight improvement on those before them but defensive deficiencies remain, something Roy Hodgson’s Palace can exploit with their pace on the break

With Harry Kane and Son leading the attack, Tottenham are always going to be a threat going forward and that is why both teams have scored in each of their last eight league games.

Everton, Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Sheffield United in the FA Cup have netted against Spurs since the beginning of March, so Palace, with Wilfried Zaha and Eberechi Eze in top form, can be confident of doing so.

Both teams to score looks like the best value on offer, especially given Palace have failed to score in only one of their last four away league games and have bagged on trips to Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Correct-score punters may want to side with a 2-2 draw, which was the scoreline in Tottenham’s last home game with the Red Devils. Spurs have scored exactly twice in each of their last three on their own patch.
